"Sunday Stealing" questions. :)

1. How long have you been blogging?  I have been blogging since 1999.  That's about 11 years.

2. What made you start? It was the "trend" back then.  Blogging, complaining about school, friends, etc...

3. Who inspired you?  There were a few good bloggers back then.  Nicole of Sparkley, Renee (I forgot her link.) and there were a few more... Unfortunately, those don't exist any longer.

4. About how many hours a week would you estimate you spend on your blog?  Not too much, right now.  I have my kids and a lot of crap to do offline.  When I started blogging up until 2003, I would spend uncountable hours working on my blog.

5. What kind of experience or background do you have with writing?  I have a pretty good background.  I have always taken creative writing classes and passed with A's.  I also took some classes outside of school after High School when I was bored.  I also have two poems published in books.

6. Talk about how you come up with blog topics. Where do you get your ideas? I just blog about my day or what inspires me to write about something. :)

7. What or who inspires you and your blog? My kids are big inspirations for me.

8. Where and/or how do your brainstorming for your blog?  I don't, really. lol

9. Do you have any blogging rules or guidelines you follow?  Not really.  I just like to blog as much as I possibly can.

10. Is there anything you will not blog about?  I'll blog about anything that comes into my head.  There really aren't any limitations.

11. Do you have any sort of a publishing schedule in terms of day of week or topic?
Not at all.

Where's the spring?!

i'm not liking this very cold January weather.  Actually, I'm just not understanding it.  One day it's so nice and almost 55 and the next it's 20 with wind chills of 0.  I wish it would stay in between...  I can't stand the freezing cold.  I also feel like I'm starting to come down with something.  It's from the damn changes in the weather.  I just can't wait for Spring.  The weather is the absolute best then.  (And it's my birthday season too!)

Today was pretty dull... I had to go to get my taxes done, which I am proud to say went very well.  I'm getting a very good amount back and would like to save most of it.  However, I do need a new digital camera.  So $200 will go towards that.  H&R Block really raised the prices of their tax returns!  They charged me $350, which is thankfully being taken out of my refund.  Last year  I only paid $200.  (And I had more 1099's last year than I did this year!)  I did have more W2's this year though.  Either way,  I'm getting a very significant refund.

I had a great night with my friend Gina.  We just hung out, got something to eat, she got a personalized hat which she loves... LOL  (I want one too actually.  It reminds me of the pencils with my name on them when I was younger.)  We just had a good time.  My day was pretty shitty, mostly because I miss Olivia so much when she goes to her dad's house. I'm actually very exhausted and have a long day tomorrow.  This post is so back and forth between thoughts, but I am just so tired. lol  Check out our really kinda cute but kinda corny picture.  (I look like crap)
Saturday 6
What’s the one thing that really annoys you?  People who judge a book by their cover.  If you look deeper into someone, they may be a lot different than you think at first glance.

If it was the end of the world what be the last thing you would try to do?  I don't know.  I guess I would make up with everyone who I wasn't on good terms with.  It's a hard question to answer!

If you had the choice of designing a mobile phone what one feature would you add to it?  Well, of course, it would have to be pink.  Maybe some sparkle on it somewhere. :D  Feature-wise, it would have a TV.  I mean like a cable TV that you can watch anywhere.  I hate missing my favorite shows when I'm out

Diamonds or pearls?  Diamonds

Silver or gold? White gold, rose gold or silver.  No yellow gold.

Are you at home or work? At home in my bed. :)

I also did the Saturday 9, however I didn't want to clutter this post, so I did it on another page.  Here it is.... SATURDAY 9!

Had a little shopping day...

Who could pass up the 30% off everything sale at Old Navy?  Definitely not me.  I didn't have much extra that I could spend, however I did get enough to make it a great deal!  Unfortunately, I didn't try a lot on and do have to return some things tomorrow...Oh well.  Shit happens!  There were some greal deals like a spring jacket for $12, Khakis for $8, some shirts that were $2 or $3... I also got some lip gloss for $1, two notepads for $0.50 each.  I got quite a bit.

Coupon time & also OLD NAVY SPECIAL!!

I had to go grocery shopping and had a bunch of coupons to do just that.  I had to go to three different stores because of the sales to match my coupons, but I couldn't complain after the minimal amount that I spent.  I spent $68.53 before coupons at Stop & Shop, afterwards the total came to $29.11.  Target, total before coupons was $49.01 and after I only spent $15.93...Target was the best because I had Target coupons for Lean Cuisine, Kashi and Juicy Juice PLUS manufacturers coupons. :)  I printed off quite a few so I could stock up.   I went to another Stop & Shop afterwards, and stocked up on Smart Ones.  Since they were 6 for $10...  I also had 2 coupons for $1 off of 6, plus Buy One Get One Free coupons that I had all my family and friends print off and give to me.  So I came up spending only $7.50 for 10 Smart Ones meals, I had a coupon for a free Purel hand sanitizer, a 10% off my order coupon, A loaf of bread (regular price, damn...) and 10 packs of Starkist Tuna for $.18 cents each (after my 10 $1 off coupons!!!)  I may end up going back for more Tuna tomorrow.  I'm going to try to eat healthier, so all of this will help me greatly!  And I can't complain that I hardly spent too much today.

I did have a problem at Target, however.  The cashier was very rude to me and REFUSED to use my manufacturers coupons and Target coupons.  They told me I was "cheating the system".  (Bullshit!!)  I argued with her and after she got nasty with me, demanded to see a manager.  The manager agreed that I was right and put my coupons right through.  He also said he would make sure to talk to the cashier about the fact that you CAN use one ManuQ and one Target Q on the same item. :)  Success!! lol

Among my coupons, I had a coupon for a free L'oreal Lash Serum that they had sent me.  They sent it to me because another free sample that I requested was out of stock.  It was great of them to do that and I thanked them profusely by e-mail!  Anyway, I got it today when I was at the store and am going to use it.  They said within 3 months it should start working.  I'm going to take a picture every month to see the progress and see if it is making any progress. :)  I'm hoping so because I would love for it to actually work!  I actually may have a giveaway pretty soon for the L'oreal Lash Serum, so keep a look out. :)

I also got an e-mail from Old Navy today that 01/29 and 01/30 only - 30% off EVERYTHING!!!  I'm totally going to be taking advantage of that tomorrow. My kids and I could use a lot!! Especially with the 30% off!

My kids are being complete maniacs right now, so I'm going to leave it at that.  I hope the lash serum works and am looking forward to seeing!!

Isn't snow...wonderful??

When I woke up this morning and saw snow out my window I was very surprised.  I'm still trying to figure out if it's pleasantly surprised or not so pleasantly. lol  I do love snow, but I don't like the shoveling and the effort it takes to actually drive in the snow.

As a school aged kid I used to pray for snow...what a change! :D  I used to want snow just for the whole idea of having a snow day.  Little did I know, at that age, that a snow day would mean that I'd still have to make up those days at the end of the year.  So I loved it when we had the snow days, but not when more days were added in at the end of the year in replacement for those snow days! (Which I still think is an absolutely stupid thing.)  At least we only got a little bit of snow today and driving wasn't too bad.  I don't think we're supposed to get anymore.  I don't feel like dealing with anymore since I have to get out of the house and go to Target and grocery shopping today.  Damn, everything gets harder when you're older. lol

Today is just a lazy day until I have to go out.  I downloaded a pretty pink theme on my Blackberry, (lol) I'm sitting on the couch watching TV while my kids are still sleeping, I already cleaned up a lot, so I'm just going to chill until they wake up.  Then I'll go into mommy-mode.

I also wanted to let you know that I started one of those "Ask Me Anything" pages.  I used to have one years ago when I had a domain and knew how to install the PHP script of it.  However, I'm too lazy right now, I don't have a domain anymore, and since there is a site that works with it, why the hell am I going to go and install something? LOL  So, you can ask me absolutely anything!  Ask me. :)

That's My Answer (Thursday)

Who would you like to see as a guest judge on American Idol? I actually think Alice Ripley would be a great guest judge on American Idol.  She is such a seasoned Broadway actress and someone who is one of my role models.  I really think that she would be a great guest judge as someone who has such experience, someone who has such amazing talent and someone who really knows what she's doing & talking about. :)  Hey, if they had Kristin Chenoweth, why can't they have Alice Ripley?  :D

Radio Shack trade in program...

Let me start off by saying this: I think this is a great program. Especially for us. My mom has this complete paranoia to throwing out ANY old computer. She is always afraid that someone will take it and get information off of it. That said, we had SO many old computers stored in our basement. Now that we're moving and need to get rid of it, the Radio Shack trade in program is a blessing!

I took a ride to the store today with some old cell phones, the computers, laptops, etc... ONLY to find out that trade in for computers & laptops is ONLY ONLINE. They do not trade in computers and laptops in the stores. However, for my old cell phones and digital cameras that were in various state of working, I got $67. Not bad for some phones that didn't work, some digital cameras that didn't work, etc...

When I got home I gave Radio Shack a call and they asked me the information about the computers and laptops I had, and told me that they were going to e-mail me prepaid shipping labels and after they checked out the items, they'd send me a gift card for $1,500. I think that's great, honestly. A lot of the laptops were from work anyway, so I didn't have to pay for them in the first place. I can use the $1,500 gift card too. I definitely need a new digital camera and a charger for my good Canon Rebel. I'll still have some left over too. :) Hey, I can't complain. (Except the fact that I have to bring them to Fed Ex. Any volunteers to help? lol)

Radio Shack Trade In Program - Check it out if you have any laptops, desktops, digital cameras, gaming systems, games, etc... that you aren't using. :)

Kids, Kids, Kids... lol :)

I...Love...These things...

I got them on sale at Walmart a few weeks ago for $1.88 each. I bought a few packages of these because they just looked interesting. (And a great way to make just one cup of Kool Aid when I don't want to waste an entire pitcher.) Let me tell you, these are the BEST things that I have ever purchased. Kool Aid Fun Fizz!! It's available in grape and this fruit punch flavor that I had gotten. :)

In each package you get 8 little individually wrapped fizzes. All you do is take the fizz and put it into an 8 oz glass of water. It automatically fizzes and dissolves on it's own. No effort on your part! (And I love that since I do so much around the house as it is! lol) This stuff is honestly great tasting too. It tastes better than regular Kool Aid and involves no extra sugar being put in the glass. :) My kids definitely approve of it! We haven't tasted the grape one, my kids don't really like anything grape flavored, but the fruit punch is really good. The price without being on sale is probably around $2.99. Give or take. I got them on sale so I stocked up. (I had a coupon too. lol)

My kids have been completely insane today. I realized that I had left my makeup bag on the floor in the bathroom today. Bad idea... My extensive makeup collection got into the hands of a 2 year old. Who proceeded to do her own make up. She comes into the kitchen, where I'm working on packing some dishes, and I hear "Mama! Make up!" I look and Olivia is COVERED in eye makeup. It was funny and cute, she thought she was all that... She did a good job too! It was hilarious. You know I'm a makeup addict when my kids want to wear make up too. They think they HAVE to wear make up. I'm going to have two crazy teenagers on my handds in a few years!!

Wow, it's been a month.

I haven't had any time for blogging, wow. We're currently getting everything ready, talking to the mortgage company about our foreclosure, selling whatever we can (since we can't take all of what we have with us!) We're working pretty hard on things here. I wanna re open my business, but right now that's not a viable option since I have so much to do here. I'll have to wait until things calm down before I am able to do that. :(

Currently, I am still looking for employment and hopefully will find something. Though, I am enjoying my time that I have right now here with my kids. There isn't even really much to write about since my days have been so boring. We do what we can, but it's nothing too interesting. I will write more later if something is on my mind. :)
