Miscellany Monday: Exhaustion, Clothing Swaps, Insane Weather and more!
I haven't done Miscellany Monday in quite a while and I did miss it! Honestly, I love the fact that I can put different random thoughts in one post and not have to worry too much about how it flows. Effortless; almost! Anyone who knows me, knows that I am very random. I can be talking about one thing and the next minute I will just come out with something completely unrelated. It's hilarious (to my friends) and it's annoying to people who don't understand how I can be! Miscellany Monday gives me a reason to be random. So thanks to those @ Lowercase Letters who came up with a great idea!

Do you overreact to the storms?
I've been posting a lot of rants lately and this is a rant/humorous post. (Or so I am going to try to make it a humorous post...even though I am actually typing this at 1 am. So most of my humor has gone down the drain.)
As everyone knows, the east coast has been getting hit hard with storms. Especially the New York metro area. We have had 3 huge snowfalls to date and some smaller ones in between. Very unusual for this area during this season. We may usually see one large storm or even absolutely none. We haven't had a Winter full of storms like this since 1995/1996. They have been hyping this storm up for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday up for days now and everyone did their ritualistic mad rush to the grocery store in order to get the essentials. (Including us! lol) So today comes and I wake up expecting this huge snowfall. There wasn't even an inch on the ground. Sure, the ice wasn't too fun this morning, but it wasn't anything I couldn't handle. In fact, when I got to work, a lot of people were breathing a sigh of relief because there was no snow.
The ice was bad enough that people could not walk on unsalted sidewalks and we did see some people slide right in front of work. When I was driving home I had terrible ice on my side view mirrors and really had to drive home with caution since I couldn't see out of them. (They really need defrosters on those, by the way!)
I got home and started working my second job, the girls are playing on my bed, and my mom comes barging in.
"We need to get batteries for the flashlights..."
Um...ok mom. There isn't a huge storm, it seems like it passed us, why do we?
"The news is saying that there is going to be a huge ice storm tonight into tomorrow and they're expecting a lot of outages."
Ok mom...do we ever lose power during storms?
At this point, my mom has begun to scare my girls. They're looking at her like the men in the white jackets should come and take her away. I'm serious, the girls thought she was crazy. Alayna even asked if Grandma was ok!
"We need to get ready in case we have a long term outage and need to go to one of the safe areas."
What the hell? Really mom? So right about then, the girls were freaking about because my mom said they might have to leave here for a few days. Alayna was running around screaming that she couldn't find her favorite stuffed dog, Olivia ran for her Hide and Seek Jo Jo and I'm sitting here in the midst of this madness shaking my head and trying to find out why my mom is overreacting like this.
Of course, the news hypes this up, as they always do. Maybe I'm always the 'doubting thomas' until something actually happens, but I read so many conflicting weather reports that I don't know what to believe. I'm the optimistic one...the eternal optimist. I never want to believe something until it happens. I was the one who didn't believe we were getting a blizzard (a few days after Christmas) until I woke up and couldn't open my front door because of the 34 inches of snow outside. So even in this situation, I'm not going to believe we are having a huge storm with ice and snow tomorrow until I wake up and see it in the morning.
As a matter of fact, I went to the store right after work tonight to get some things that we needed and some breakfast for myself tomorrow to take to work. (Even though my mom swears up and down that I am not going to go to work tomorrow... Whatever floats her boat!)
So, in closing, (I know, you're all breathing a sigh of relief that I am almost done) if it does end up being a huge storm tomorrow I will eat my words. I will admit that I am still the eternal optimist and I will apologize to my mom for doubting her. Hell, I'll even call up ABC and apologize for cursing them out while watching my TV. :D HAHA!! I just don't feel, with the weather the way it is right this second, that we're going to have that huge storm.

Monday Miscellany - A bunch of random musings for this week.
ONE}
I can't believe my luck. My 4 year old is obsessed with that stupid Christmas movie ELF. Buddy is one of her imaginary friends now and she constantly watches it. Yes, even in the dead of summer. I was reading different articles online today and what do I see? That on Nov. 2nd ELF is going to become a BROADWAY MUSICAL... We're 20 minutes from Manhattan so there's really no excuse I can give not to take her... Maybe she'll be over the phase within 7 months... Yeah right. Wishful thinking, right? Ha!
TWO}
Domestic isn't even the word for me lately!! I made low fat/low cal orange buns this morning. They were so delicious I could barely stand it. Everyone else thought so too. Between yesterday and today I think I cooked enough for an entire small country. ha! I'm in a huge cooking phase and I'm not complaining. I actually am enjoying it too and of course, I have tons of recipes to post here!
THREE}
Tomorrow I go to look at my car. Of course, it's not my car yet. I'm still driving my Subaru, but not for long. My car is honestly too dangerous to drive. Brakes are shot, shocks and struts are shot, fan belt is shot, something with the wheels. My car has lasted me a long time and I tried to make it last longer, but unfortunately it just can't make it anymore. *pats car* I'm gonna miss it, but I'm looking at this awesome Chevy Equinox that is very decently priced and just sitting there waiting for me. The guy said he'll work on a good price with me. Let's hope. We only will have the money after we cash in my car and my mom's. Wish me luck!!
FOUR}
I made the decision ... I'm going back to the gym. I'm going to Bally's on a month free trial. I'm excited that I can attend the classes and work out as much as I want. I feel like it's going to help me along a lot on my goals. I just wasn't liking my local gym. (Planet Fitness) I've been to Bally's before, when I was going to college, and I liked everyone there. I actually can't wait to go work out.
FIVE}
This year I didn't get to see fireworks. I had been doing a quick job when they were in our town and besides, Alayna had strep. Our town is directly across the skyline from Manhattan, so we CAN see the Macy's fireworks. I took a quick drive myself to our waterside last night to see them. Unfortunately, so many people were there it wasn't even worth staying... but I did see a good portion of the Macy's fireworks. :) I decided just to go to Wendys, get Frostys and go home.
SIX}
It's been so fucking hot here. 100 degrees has been the highest, and that's been the majority of the day. Right now, it's almost 7pm and it's 91 degrees. How can ANYONE handle the heat? We've had scattered "brown outs" around here and actually our living room power doesn't work as well as my daughter's room power. I guess we're sleeping in my room tonight until the power starts to work in those two rooms. How weird that only those rooms don't work!
SEVEN}
I'm so incredibly restless. I'm tired, I'm bored, I don't want to sleep, I don't know if I want to go out anywhere. Haha! I don't even know what I want to eat!! So I'm just a big useless blob of crank today. (Although, so is everyone else. It's the damn weather.) I'll write a full entry later... right now I just have to go to the store to find food. Someone get me up and push me out the frikkin door!!

.....
I think I complain about the weather all too much on here, but there is so much to complain about! It was freezing this morning and for the past few days. The weather going from 79-80 degrees and then down to 49-50 is making people sick. Personally, I have terrible allergies and especially since the wind has been blowing the pollen all around. Today was terrible. My mom was feeling the allergies and so was I. Moms don't have downtime, unfortunately! We have to keep going even when we're half dead! lol Especially today. It was a crazy busy day. I had about 10 minutes to nap!
We're still not sure what is going on with our moving status, but we are having a large garage sale this weekend. (Thank God!) We need to get the excess out of the house just in case we have to move. I had to run to Home Depot to pick up some moving boxes for organization. (Or our hopeful organization...I can't make any promises!) Wind + trying to push a cart with 10 cardboard boxes = Not easy to do. It was slightly comical, actually!
Olivia was hilarious today. She somehow memorized the channel that Sprout is on our TV. My mom and I had been watching Food Network with Alayna this afternoon, and Olivia takes the remote and puts Sprout back on. Damn kids and learning technology early!! I'm realizing that she's growing up and probably should learn more about technology! She already knows how to unlock and find games on my iPhone. :)
I did get some awesome mail today. I got a Childrens Claritin campaign from BzzAgent as well as my hair straightener to review from Missakko! That giveaway will also be coming up! Keep posted to our blog for those!
This entry is all scatterbrained. I have a headache coming on and I should get to sleep since the kids are.
I'm gonna add some questions from That's My Answer just to make this more interesting. lol
I'm gonna add some questions from That's My Answer just to make this more interesting. lol
Do you have a go-to outfit that you always pull out in the event of a wardrobe emergency? What would constitute a wardrobe emergency? Definitely! I have a nice pair of skinny jeans, a black tank top that has a cute little heart chain connected to it and my black boots. That's my emergency outfit. I would constitute a wardrobe emergency being my having to go somewhere and not having time to really pick anything out. :) It's happened more often than I'd like to admit!
What do you want most? To be my goal weight! That's what I want the most and that's what would be the most attainable. Other than that, I'd want a mustang convertible, the pink sequined coach purse that I dream about and I want to have enough money that I don't have to worry about bills and not being able to give my kids what they want. :) I do my best and am happy that I am doing all I can! Materialistic things aren't the most important anyway!
Do you like your food to be spicy? How much is too much? I love spicy food...way too much, actually. I don't think anything is too hot for me. Olivia is turning out to be the same way as me, she absolutely loves spicy food.
Where is your favorite place to retreat to when you have some time to yourself? When that rare moment happens, I love to go to Starbucks and bring my laptop with me. :) Other than that, it would be at night being in my room. It's just calming for me.

Is it spring yet?
It has been in the 60's these past few days and we all have loved it!! The kids got to go outside and be with their friends, which makes them sleep better, that's for sure! Because of the great weather, they have been going to sleep at 7 or 8 every night. That's a huge change from the 12 am bedtime of my two little insomniacs!! It's been just great.
I've been meaning to get out and walk some, but I just haven't had the time. I've been running around like a chicken without a head doing errands and getting things done that I need to get done. Believe it or not, I'm still not finished with everything!! I just want to be lazy and enjoy the nice weather, but that's probably impossible!
My 25th birthday is almost 7 days away and I am very excited! lol I'm not excited to be older because, let's face it, when you're over 21, it's not too exciting to get another year older! I just love my birthday because on that day it's all about ME!! (I was born on St. Patricks day. Woohoo! lol) I'm probably not doing anything too exciting, but just the fact of it being my birthday excites me.
I promise I'll have a more exciting post tomorrow! We also have the BerryJane giveaway ending tomorrow! If you haven't entered yet, make sure you do!! It will end at 3pm EST, just to give everyone a chance to enter! :) Just click our link on the right sidebar!

What do you do on a nice sunny day?
SHOP!!
Ok, well, that is what a normal person self admitted shop-a-holic does. (I'm Kristin and I am a shop-a-holic...Admitting it is the first step to recovery. lmao) Well, fortunately, that's not all I did, but it was very fulfilling. (In the way feeding an addiction is.)
The weather was gorgeous today. It was about 60 degrees and very sunny, believe it or not! It was just so warm and beautiful. Olivia had gone to daddy's house this morning and she is there until tomorrow, so I took Alayna out with her friends for a little while. It was nice chatting with the other mommies and just enjoying the warm weather too. It was such a change from the crappy cold and dreary weather that we had been having, everyone enjoyed it! Afterwards, Alayna had gone to her friend's house down the block with a few people, so I had decided to go out and get some things done. After all, my mom was still home just in case Alayna wanted to come home, so I went out.
Living in New Jersey, we don't have any Duane Reade stores around here. We used to have a rather large one, but then DR decided to become exclusive to New York only... I stopped there since I had to go to Kinkos anyway. I really have to say that Duane Reade has some great deals. I got some nice lip sticks and nail polishes on sale for just a dollar and got Vitamin Healing Shampoo (which is supposed to be good) and conditioner for just $1.25 each.
Since I was in Staten Island anyway, I decided to take a ride over to TJ Maxx. I got some great deals. I got a North Face jacket for just $22 on sale, I got an iPod stereo (small and pink) for $10 on sale, I got an over the door jewelry hanger, a small jewelry box and a "Diva" margarita glass for my room on sale too. My total came out to $50 for it all. I found that a great total for everything I got. :) I absolutely love the iPod speakers that I got. It works great, except that I have to put it on airplane mode in order to use it. I don't use my iPhone that much when I'm home anyway, I use my Blackberry. I don't mind that one bit!
When I got home, I realized I had left a package at TJ Maxx and by that time, Alayna was home. I took her with me and we went back to TJ Maxx, Michaels (to get her something, I got her a $1 tiara lol) and we also went to Mandees. They were having a great clearance sale that was buy one get one free on their 70% off merchandise, so I got some shirts. I really needed some longer shirts to wear with my leggings. I found some great things there and will definitely go back as soon as I possibly get some more money that I can just spend on random stuff. lol I also got a coupon for $10 off a $40 order for the next time. Also, standing in the line, I had seen an advertisement for 20% off one item when you texted Mandee30 to 45566, so I did and they gave me 20% off. I saved about $10 off my purchase. (Make sure to do that if you're going to Mandees! The savings really does add up!)
That was my very long day! (If you read this, kudos! lol) Now it's time to relax, Alayna is asleep and I am completely exhausted!
I apologize that this post was pretty much completely boring, but I was excited at what I got today and had to show someone. lol

...and here we go again.
DON'T FORGET ABOUT OUR CONAIR CERAMIC HAIR STRAIGHTENER GIVEAWAY!!
It started snowing again around 11pm last night. Just lightly, but before we knew it, by 1 am when I looked out the window, we had nearly 5 inches already. I can't believe it. Yesterday we got about 5 or 6 inches and today we're supposed to get a FOOT of snow by the time it ends at 6 pm. This is just terrible.

Yesterday we got about 5 or 6 inches and today we're supposed to get a FOOT of snow by the time it ends at 6 pm. This is just terrible.
It looks a lot worse (in real life) than that picture taken out of my back window. lol It's just so terribly windy,cold and the snow just won't stop coming down. I can't wait for spring and I'll even welcome summer! (Even though the heat isn't my favorite.) I had to cancel two of my job interviews today because of the fact that I can't even get around. They never plow our street because it is a dead end private street -- who cares about them!! Maybe by Sunday I'll actually be able to get out.
My diet is going well. I'm 4.9 lbs down, but I consider myself 5 lbs down. :) Still haven't been drinking enough water, but I'm going to try to start today. I feel like I will get to my goal and I feel like I can do it if I just concentrate. Yesterday was a hard night for me. My mom made homemade Macaroni and Cheese. My girls were shoving it in my face, "Mommy try this!!". I had a small taste, but I just concentrated on my own dinner and kept telling myself that Macaroni and Cheese will still be there when I lose the weight. It's something I can look forward to when I finally DO lose it all. :) After breakfast, which I haven't had yet, I'm going to do one of the Turbo Jam tapes. I haven't been exercising and I know that I need to. Before I go eat breakfast, I want to leave you with a picture of Olivia snuggling in my bed last night.
We also now have a FACEBOOK for our blog. If you fan our facebook, we would really appreciate it! Saturday we are going to post a giveaway ONLY for our Facebook fans. So go check it out and fan us, it only takes a second!

I am so over snow!!
Mine was a few weeks ago. I went out with my friends to New York City. We saw In The Heights, went out to eat lunch, walked around the city, we tried for a second show's lottery and just had a great time. I was out for a total of 7 hours and it was a much needed break. I loved it! Now on to your regularly scheduled blog!
Honestly, [snow] I'm over it. LOL I can't take it anymore. It has been snowing since about 5 or 6 this morning. It started out as light, small flakes, but now they're heavy large flakes. It's insane out there and I am so sick of the snow!
My mom decided, this morning, that she wanted to make some chicken wings, mac and cheese, lasagna, etc...So I was sent out to the grocery store at about 9 am in this horrid weather to get some groceries. SERIOUSLY!? It should be child abuse to send someone out in this weather! lol Needless to say, I was petrified driving all the way there and driving all the way back. The road conditions are terrible. They're slick, icy from all the rain for the past two days, and just unplowed with soft slick snow. Of course, our town really hates to plow roads, apparently. Only the one main highway and two main roads are plowed. The rest are just salted - IF THAT! At least I got there and back safely, got what I needed, and we're great until the storm is over. Unfortunately, they said it's going to be a double header storm. We're going to be getting hit with another TOMORROW. I can't take it!! lol At least there is still a lot of cleaning I have to get done. That will be my project until the snow is over. I hope it's done by Sunday, I do have plans.
Amongst all of this, I have had to cancel a few job interviews. Tomorrow I have one that I really want to go to, however it's in Edison, NJ and the snow is probably not going to stop by 10 am. I pray they will let me reschedule because of the weather. Though, I'm not calling until later. I don't want to cancel if the roads are going to be decent. I really need a job and hope that I do end up getting one of the few jobs I am interviewing for. I would love an actual corporate job, which these interviews are for. They're for positions that actually have a chance for growth and advancement. I want something real and not something retail. :) Wish me luck!
My diet is going well. I'm on Day 3, I'm down 3.1lbs and am very happy. I know I can lose more weight if I drank more water. Losing water weight & bloat is VERY important when you're losing weight. I just haven't had any desire for water. The closest I get is Crystal Light. (And that's still calories.) I have to just get into the groove of drinking water either way. I also want to exercise. I'm still paying for a gym subscription, but I can't get out to the gym until the weather gets better. I do have the Turbo Jam collection and hopefully maybe I can use that while I'm waiting to go to the gym. :) Now I'm kicking myself for selling my elliptical! Follow my weight loss journal.

Stop the snow!!
After everyone shovelled the first few inches, it came down with a fury. We were getting about 3 inches an hour for a while... We all estimate that we had about 17 or 18 inches. It seemed as if when everyone actually got the sidewalk shovelled, it would just go back to getting covered with more snow again. Meanwhile, I'm wondering how long I'm going to have to keep the kids in the house. They're going insane. I must have cleaned the living room about 15 times tonight. I'm praying the weather is much more tame tomorrow so I can get them out for an hour or two. Cabin fever is making them nuts!!! LOL
We ordered pizza for lunch. The guy from Dominos actually delivered!! I had no idea how he got up our block because we must have had about 6 inches of unplowed snow. Needless to say, I gave him a $7 tip, just because of the fact that he had to get here in that shitty weather. The pizza, however, was the most delicious thing I have ever tasted! I actually ordered a Habanaro Chicken sandwich, which was AMAZING. It was the best combination of sweet with the pinapple and spicy with the jalapeno peppers. If you have the chance to taste it, definitely do!!
Wordless Wednesday - White Out!!
Click on the picture for full view. :)
The snow is getting more and more as time passes by! I took more snow pictures and they're here. It's really starting to get less pretty out and more frustrating. Just looking out the window, I'm reminded that I'm pretty much prisoner in the house until the snow dies down! (Which they're saying is MIDNIGHT!!) Don't get me wrong, I love being home and love just being lazy with my kids, but on the other hand, what if we need something?! I'm such a paranoid person. They still expect approx 12-18 inches of snow if not more. We just have to wait and see what the outcome is.
Olivia is being a little lazy girl and still sleeping at 1:30 pm, but Alayna is wide awake and watching the snow. :) My mom brought her some snow in a cup so she could play on the table; it's way too windy and freezing to go out in the snow right now. I'd rather wait to take them out when the snow isn't blowing as much as it is.
Lazy Bones Olivia still sleeping
Alayna and her snow!
We have a good day planned either way! We're going to make cookies and homemade Macaroni and Cheese. :) My little Laynie cook is going to help make it!!
Winter Wonderland!!
I woke up this morning and went to check the view from the window. We have SNOW!!! I would say we have a good 4 inches already, and this is at approx 6:45 am! So, I guess we are getting that lovely blizzard that they were talking about. I sort of love snow, but what I don't love is hearing my mom. Say, "I told you so!"
Pictures will come as soon as I wake up fully and get us all outside!
- Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone
Loving my new layout. :)
There is a lot I want to fix a little more with the layout, but overall I am really liking this! It just feels a lot more organized than my previous layout. The only downside about all of this, was the fact that when I changed my layout I did something stupid and deleted ALL of my sidebar widgets. I feel that the way my sidebar widgets look now, and are organized, really makes the entire thing look so much better. I feel like it's easier on the eyes.
The snow is coming and has started already. It started around 7:30 PM in and around the city. It's insane. It wasn't supposed to start until after midnight, but it came in early. I guess it really is going to be as bad as they say it is!! As long as Thursday/Friday/Saturday is ok for driving! I have big plans all three days. :) I will definitely take pictures of how much snow we have in the morning. I'll do it as soon as I wake up, in fact!
I have one complaint: I went to Kohls today to see if I could get a shirt that I had passed up the last time. However, I didn't go to the one in Staten Island that I went to when I saw it. The shirt turned out to be on clearance at the store I went to, but it was $10 more expensive! In Staten Island it was $5.50 and in Jersey City, it was $15.50! I can't believe that the clearance prices vary so much from store to store! Definitely not going back to Newport Centre again to go to Kohls! That frustrated me!
Excitement is growing for moving... Honestly! I've started putting down what I want to do with my room and the girls room. I want to paint my walls a light pink, more mature than the dark pink is now. I'm going to keep my bed, I believe, but I need a new wardrobe/dresser for my room. The one I have is falling apart terribly! I can't wait to get rid of it! lol :) My TV, I'm going to have to get another wall mount. I doubt I can unscrew this one and take it with me. The room I'm moving into is slightly larger...not by much!

Why is it always me!?
I wake up this morning to find out that Verizon DSL had ANOTHER outtage around here. That seems to happen monthly and sometimes twice a month. I don't know why and they said the line may be loose that connects to the box in our neighborhood. It's incredibly annoying. I had to wait hours and hours for it to finally be on. What's even more annoying is the fact that our home phone is the Verizon Hub... If we don't have internet service for the time being, we don't have phone service. I wanted to find the Verizon DSL center and kick all of their asses today. :D
I finally got around to getting the USB cord for my new digital camera and upload some pictures. This came out wonderful!! I took it on Saturday morning after our "terrible" snowfall. (lol Barely any!) I always love to take pictures at the park and this picture just came out so crisp and clear!! I love it and I'm so thankful that the nice lady at Best Buy helped me choose this great camera. :) I love it. I thought I would regret spending as much as I did on the camera, but I don't regret it one bit.
Yesterday Alayna asked me a question that really made my heart sink. Olivia loves to make videos for her daddy and grandpa, and Alayna asked me if she could make a video for her daddy. I did let her. I believe it was healthy to allow her to make the video, however I really have nothing that I can do with it. I'll put it on a disc just in case her father ever does contact me wanting information about her. It broke my heart to pieces. I still don't understand how the hell a father could just leave his daughter and forget she even exists. I could go on and on, but I won't. It's not worth rehashing the past when all it does is upset me. It upsets me for my daughter's sake.
I got some shopping done today, mostly for groceries and some household items that we needed. The snow is supposed to hit bad on Wednesday morning. Though, at this point I don't know if I believe ANYTHING the weather men say to me! It seems like they don't quite know what they're talking about anyway. Just like that "huge" storm on Saturday that dropped a huge whopping 2 inches on the ground.
I'll leave you with an adorable picture of my kids...taken with my new digital camera!

Hyped over snow??
My mom and I had gotten tickets to see The View about two weeks ago, so I decided to take her to the city. My mom hardly gets out and I thought that would be a great little outing for her. :) So off we went on Thursday. We had a great time. I snapped this pic on the left with my Blackberry. (I know, they say no cell phones, but I hadn't gotten my new camera yet at this point! lol) My mom absolutely loves this show and she had the time of her life. She enjoyed getting dressed up and getting out, even though she does not like NYC at all. Unfotunately, they hardly showed the audience on TV...and I looked good too.
I ended up getting a new digital camera even before my tax check came in. I ended up getting this camera that I absolutely fell in love with....the Samsung TL220 with dual viewscreens. I am in love with this camera. It takes amazing pictures, I love the dual viewscreens on the front and back, since my kids and I take pictures of ourselves all the time, and I love how big the screen is. The camera is thin but a little larger than other digital cameras. I'm hoping to use it for a little while longer and be able to write a good formal review. :)
News reporters were telling us that there was a terrible storm coming to drop about a foot and a half of snow on us... We waited, anticipated, stocked up on food, battled the huge supermarket's crowds... Waited some more... No snow. Woke up this morning to find our "huge monster snowfall" -- 2 inches of snow. News reporters decided to redeem themselves by saying they had no idea how we didn't get the huge snowfall they were predicting... Lol... They were obviously wrong. Though, there were sections of New Jersey that did get hit with crazy snowfalls. Those were south from us, however. I'm actually glad we didn't get as much snow as they were predicting. I couldn't take more!

Isn't snow...wonderful??
When I woke up this morning and saw snow out my window I was very surprised. I'm still trying to figure out if it's pleasantly surprised or not so pleasantly. lol I do love snow, but I don't like the shoveling and the effort it takes to actually drive in the snow.
As a school aged kid I used to pray for snow...what a change! :D I used to want snow just for the whole idea of having a snow day. Little did I know, at that age, that a snow day would mean that I'd still have to make up those days at the end of the year. So I loved it when we had the snow days, but not when more days were added in at the end of the year in replacement for those snow days! (Which I still think is an absolutely stupid thing.) At least we only got a little bit of snow today and driving wasn't too bad. I don't think we're supposed to get anymore. I don't feel like dealing with anymore since I have to get out of the house and go to Target and grocery shopping today. Damn, everything gets harder when you're older. lol
Today is just a lazy day until I have to go out. I downloaded a pretty pink theme on my Blackberry, (lol) I'm sitting on the couch watching TV while my kids are still sleeping, I already cleaned up a lot, so I'm just going to chill until they wake up. Then I'll go into mommy-mode.
I also wanted to let you know that I started one of those "Ask Me Anything" pages. I used to have one years ago when I had a domain and knew how to install the PHP script of it. However, I'm too lazy right now, I don't have a domain anymore, and since there is a site that works with it, why the hell am I going to go and install something? LOL So, you can ask me absolutely anything! Ask me. :)
That's My Answer (Thursday)
Who would you like to see as a guest judge on American Idol? I actually think Alice Ripley would be a great guest judge on American Idol. She is such a seasoned Broadway actress and someone who is one of my role models. I really think that she would be a great guest judge as someone who has such experience, someone who has such amazing talent and someone who really knows what she's doing & talking about. :) Hey, if they had Kristin Chenoweth, why can't they have Alice Ripley? :D
